Experience
I am a Providence College student, and I've been working as a teaching assistant in a classroom in the inner city, where I assist first grade students with special needs. I've volunteered to help fourth and fifth grade students in the inner city through an after school program, where I assisted them with homework and also led fun learning activities. I've also volunteered in the ESL club on campus to assist adult learners in English. I love working with students in finding creative ways to address their needs. Every student is different, so I modify my approach to match each student's learning style. I make sure the my students know that I respect them, and I build rapport with them so that they are comfortable to communicate with helping. I feel this is the best path to effective learning. I can assist students in ESL, literature, grammar, writing, reading, essays, history, psychology, art, public speaking, psychology, elementary school math, special education, and test preparation for the SAT and other standardized exams. When I have free time outside of academics, I enjoy writing short stories, cooking, and painting. I also love curling up with a good book and a cup of tea on a rainy day.

Hobbies
I am an avid reader. My favorite way to spend a rainy day is curled up with a good book and a cup of tea. I enjoy reading about the Confessional Poets and Christian Mysticism. When I look at medieval manuscripts, such as the St. Albans Psalter, I feel as though I am traveling backwards in time. I also love painting, cooking, and writing short stories.
